Over the past few years, the PTSO has funded:

Staff Training and Professional Development
  • Art - metal working course for larger more complex metal fabrication

  • English - "Keeping the wonder" course

  • English - Social Emotional Learning courses: "The practice and power of vulnerability in the classroom", "Anxiety awareness: empowering students with health and hope" and "The culturally competent educator".

  • English - "Game based strategies for language instruction" online course

  • Fitness & Health - curriculum for "Drums alive" program (in partnership with WEF)

  • Languages - Joint NADSFL/ACTFL conference for language curriculum leaders

  • Languages - NECTFL conference - new trends and pedagogical approaches to teaching languages

  • Math - "Escape the math classroom" conference

  • Social Studies - Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development conference (2 staff members)

  • Social Studies - sheltered English immersion course (2 Staff Members)

  • Social Studies - executive function conference

  • Special Education - dyslexia course​

  • Administration - privacy panels and book stand for main office

  • Art - frames for student work

  • Bridge Program - books and journal subscriptions

  • Social Studies - pocket Constitutions

  • Special Education - metal rolling carts, daylight lamps for classroom use, classroom books, DivideWrite mobile whiteboard partition, board games for the Gateway program

  • Fitness & health - 4 speakers for "Minding your Mind" 10th grade class
