Dr Lussier's Remote Learning e-mail Message

Writer: WHS PTSOWHS PTSO

Dear Wellesley Public Schools Community,

I am pleased to release the updated Wellesley Public Schools Remote Learning Plan 2.0, which reflects both our extended closure and guidance from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.  Equally important, this plan reflects the expert input of educators from across our district. As you review the details of this approach, I encourage you to pay particular attention to the guiding principles to which we strive to adhere.  Supporting our students social and emotional health is as important to us as supporting their continued academic growth. Additionally, if you have not already done so, I ask that you review the WPS Technology Guide Overview document we shared yesterday, which outlines our norms and expectations while working in a remote learning environment.

With much uncertainty still ahead of us, flexibility will remain essential as our families and staff manage many other elements of their lives beyond this plan.

As new components of remote learning roll out this week, we encourage you to stay in contact with your child’s teacher(s) and principal as they lead this work forward.

Thank you in advance for your collaboration and support in the weeks ahead. Please continue to stay safe and healthy,

Dr. David Lussier

Superintendent of Schools
