New WHJWC Scholarship

A new annual award the WHJWC is offering beginning this spring: the Brenda Capobianco Scholarship. On behalf of Dr. Brenda Capobianco, a WHS graduate, WHJWC scholarship recipient, science teacher educator and researcher in STEM education, the WHJWC will be administering one $1,000 award per academic year to a female college-bound high school senior based on financial need, demonstrated academic achievement, and an express interest in pursuing a degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.

To be considered, applicants should apply for a WHJWC general scholarship using the common application and should indicate their commitment to STEM in their personal philosophy statement.
